I'm Jamari, the creative force behind Layers of Growth. My journey into the world of the fashion and clothing industry began unexpectedly after facing a challenging period in my career. When I lost my job in graphic design and found myself unemployed for months, and led me on a different path.

During this time, I started working at a local thrift store. Here, I stumbled upon a hidden talent and a newfound love for transforming clothes into unique pieces of wearable art. I began buying second-hand garments, taking them home, and reimagining them in my image. Each piece I worked on became a canvas for my creativity and a reflection of my journey.

What started as a way to pass the time soon blossomed into something much greater. Encouraged by strangers constantly asking about my custom garments, I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion into a business. Thus, “layers of growth” was born.
